Ok. Who was on watch? The US military wants others to tremble at their Naval awesome awesomeness, with the very best sophisticated weapons and tracking systems. So, how the fuck could a merchant vessel go through the Carrier strike group and collide with a ship? And NO ONE NOTICED a vessel off port or starboard, forward or aft? Not a single sailor? Radar? Sonar? Anyone on the bridge?
